Sounds Like Water is the brainchild of Bill Bennett. The band first formed in 1990 playing in clubs in Seattle. An album dropped soon after named ‘Released’.

This idea of SLW was re-hatched 3-decades later with the release of the album Sophie. Since then, Sophie has been downloaded in 24 different countries around the world. Riding on that success, ‘Modern Day Warrior’ was released in 2022. Then the EP ‘Silence’ followed in 2023. 

Finding new freedom from the working world the new album has dropped. The aptly named ‘Bird’.  Released in the late summer of 2025. Bill and Diane have spent most of that time as digital nomads traveling in SE Asia and continued to work musically with Sean and Pete. A large portion of the album was recorded in a ‘two-bedroom’ bunker sandwiched between a night club and a tattoo parlor in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Though much care was taken, please excuse any tech difficulties you may encounter. Splicing together equipment in that environment was a challenge. You might treat them as “scars in fine leather, they are only proof of the authenticity. “
